On March 9th, 2013 all the girls came to our house for a birthday dinner. Papa's birthday is on the 10th and gramma's on the 13th. Papa turned 54, Gramma turned 79. Lindsey and Cassie Grace surprised us and came home on Friday night. They drove up in the drive way with enough time to chat before Lila, Jeff, Robin and I went to meet Carol and Duane at the Arlington Community Center. The Arlington Haus had their anniversary dance with the White Side Walls providing the music. We all had a wonderful time dancing while Lindsey and Cassie went to stay with gramma Doris for the night. Emi, JaciAnna, Jordyn Noel and Lacey came to our house on Saturday. Our plan was to eat around 12:00 and we made it! Jaci filled cupcakes by cutting pieces of the cupcake out with a carrot peeler and then filled them with cool whip frosting... they were the best birthday cakes ever and she got to save a few to bring home to her daddy and Conner Dallas.
Carol and Duane, Robin and Al came over also for the dinner celebration.
I know, it is hard to believe but we had ALOT of good food!
We had chili, roasted veggies, hummus dip on little toasts with bascotti to top it off, cookies from a tin, chips, dips...
but most of all we had a wonderful time together!
Jordyn found papa's hole in his sock. She would go up and touch his toe and look at him sweetly...
"your little piggie is getting out" -
And that is what I take from this moment...
If you get a hole in your sock,
make sure you have a little girl to watch your piggies.
