There is love

I wonder what was making him so happy? Me busy sucking my thumb... him laughing.  Was it you Mom?  Were you telling us a funny story?  Was it dad?  He always seemed happy to get us kids riled up and then leave the scene.  I remember after I grew up and had children, dad would always say "the kids can come over, why don't you send some clothes they can stay the night."  After they arrived and had some fun together... dad would sleep and mom would take care of the bath, teeth brushing, getting the pj's on and sending them to bed.  I remember how they loved to be with him even if it was just the fact that he was there.  They always saw you as a couple.  Gramps did the "asking the kids to stay over" and Grams did the "taking care of the kids when they stay over".
 ...sometimes there just isn't words.
I know when Jeff and I were growing up that we didn't say "I love you" to each other - it wasn't a bad thing it was just the way of our family.... I always knew we were loved though - It was the way you took care of us, the things you did for us, it just seemed it didn't need to be said.  As we grew we started sharing those words with each other -we now  had permission to say what we knew all along in our hearts... I LOVE YOU!

I don't remember being this small, I don't remember Jeff being this small. But the proof is in the picture.

Once again I must say it...

"THERE IS LOVE"
