They climb onto the seat, position their feet on the petals, and hold on tight to the handle bars.
"Don't let go" they say as they push off the sidewalk and start to move.
"I'll be right here with you" dad and mom assure them. "We won't let you fall.."
And as the days move ahead there will be times when you show your children balance, when you run alongside them. It seems you will always be there to hold them, and yet there are times when you have to let go again and again and again.
