He knows my name

As I walk by our Maple tree on this day I am awed the beauty
I feel the moment, it is alive with the glorious Presence of our Lord                                               breathing in the fall air, I note leaves on the tree,
the ground covered in beautiful hues.
I think of sin.
Forgiven and set free they fall to the ground,   forgiven..
and when I see the ones yet to fall...
I understand that deep in the pulsing of my heart, forgiveness lays a soft carpet
for the things yet to fall - the things I must let go of.                                                                            like the tree lets go of its leaves  - so must I let go of things He is calling me to
when I let go, He makes something beautiful out of it
I breath in  forgiveness and exhale thankfulness
as I worship the creator
the One who knows my name.

Harvest fest 2012

It seemed this year we got to get together a lot for the Harvest!
On MEA week-end Emily, JaciAnna, Conner D, Jordyn Noel, Lacey and Nola Jean came to Arlington and we went to a party at the community hall.  They had dancing and costumes, food and a whole lot of fellowship with friends.
Foley had a party on the Saturday before the harvest.  It was at the golf course and Emily, Chris, JaciAnna, Conner D, Jordyn Noel, Lacey, Nola Jean, Grams, Jeff, and I went to join in the fun.  There was games, candy, pumpkin decorating, pictures and a whole lot of fellowship with friends.
The actual day of Harvest fest was beautiful. The weather was warm and we had a little lady bugdal come to our house.  We met up with Missy, Allysa and walked down mainstreet and to a few houses.  We had exercise, candy and a whole lot of fellowship with friends.

And the Harvest is ready.
Lear to enjoy life more. Relax, remember that I am God with you.
Walk through your day with a childlike delight, hold every blessing close to you and proclaim your love of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The more you give thanks and focus on the Giver of LIfe the more fully you can enjoy your life.

FRIENDS

A lifetime is not to long to be a friend!

Twinkies

Well it is all the buzz...
it's the news...
it is what they are all talking about.
The maker of Twinkies, and yes, hoho's too...
They may have to shut down,
go out of business.
I have a very fun memory of when my kids were all little.
I was busy in the kitchen with my organic cooking, busy getting Lindsey's immune system built up.  No ice cream, cookies, cakes, sugars at our house...
Until the gramps had to take a trip to Mankato.  They had a "day old" bread store right up by the mall.  Gramps would stop in there and buy "twinkies for the kids".  Well, they were such a good deal... how could you not?
The best part about the story?
He would give each of the kids one, and then he would have two.
Blood sugars be still...
Gramps is sharing a twinkie with his babies!

The gathering

It is a go...
everyone will be at Chris and Emily's for Thanksgiving.
The food is made, the house is cleaned and the kids are ready to go.
We pack up and are on our way by 9:15 arriving in Foley at 11:15.  Chris has everything ready to go  - started the Turkey at 5:30 and now I notice he even has on the "everyone loves a big guy" shirt that I gave him.
We arrive and start getting dinner ready.
Lacey, K and Nola arrive next.
Lindsey and Josh bring up the rear not much later.
And here we all are under one roof in Foley, Mn.
I am so thank-ful for my family.

Momma explains

Today he share stories, well, he is our story teller.  He doesn't seem to be quite ready for the Public school.  Being there all day his smile turned into things that are not of our brother bear blesser.
What do you do?
He had went to the Catholic pre-school and the public pre-school last year. Both are good, but where does our little guy fit in this year. Lord, what is the best for him?  His smile squashed by things that don't seem to matter?  I feel for him, his momma teaches Kindergarten too.
And, somehow it all works out and he starts school again at the Catholic school.  The minister is kind and the secretary says they will work things out.  Momma still belongs to the Methodist church in Arlington, now... they attend Assemblies church in Foley.  How do you fit this little person with the growing mind into the world and yet keep his spirit alive and keep him asking questions about the God who makes all things possible? The God who blessed him with his out going, story telling, loving personality?  Prayers were answered by an all knowing loving Holy God. Thank-you Jesus.

Today he tells his momma that he tries talking to Jesus but He doesn't answer.  He knows there is a God and he knows that God is real, so why doesn't he have a voice?

Momma explains... when God talks He talks not in words but talks to your soul and your spirit.  He gently guides your footsteps to help you learn what is right and wrong.
The little guy comes on the phone now...
he starts reciting " Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee."
I smile.
Although it is not a prayer we have prayed before, he is praying...
Can that not be the voice of God?

There is a crack in their wood floor and he asks his momma " I see there is a crack in the floor mom, but I can't see the fires of hell down there"

Momma explains... when there is a crack in the floor what you see down there is actually the basement first, then the ground, she explains that you don't really see the fires of hell while you are on earth you just know about them because of the Bible.

One time he had a story that his dad went to heaven.  When we asked how he got there the little guy used his hands and facial expressions and told us how his dad took the fire truck and drove it straight through the church doors and went up through the ceiling and into heaven to be with all the people up there.  He stayed up there for awhile and then came back.

Momma explains... well that is a real nice story, I don't think we need fire trucks up in heaven though.

"As you listen to birds calling to one another, you also hear the Lord call to you.  He speaks continually through the sights, sounds, thoughts, impressions and scriptures.  There is no limit to the ways the Lord will communicate with you.  When you set out to find the lord in each day you will discover a world that is alive with the Voice of God.  He is not only in the beautiful things, the songs of the birds, but can also be found in tragedy and in faces that are filled with sadness.  He is the one who will take the deepest wounds and weave them into a beautiful tapestry to be used for good.
Listen... as you go through your day
Seek... and you will find" as read in Jesus calling rewritten by me.
John 10:4 " WHEN HE HAS BROUGHT OUT ALL HIS OWN, HE GOES ON AHEAD OF THE, AND HIS SHEEP FOLLOW HIM BECAUSE THEY KNOW HIS VOICE."

And so it is, as momma explained...

Jeff

Here is Jeff and his motorcycle...
the one he will drive into the gates of Heaven.
And I will finally totally understand why life turns out the way it does...
why he stands by it and has his picture taken, perfectly happy...
while the owner, his cousin of the same age
As you can see the motorcycle has "upscaled" through the years!
puts on his black leather chaps and drives.
